Qualifications:
- Required: Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.
- Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Collaborative practice agreement with supervising physician (support available).
- Active malpractice insurance (or proof of coverage).
Responsibilities:
- Obtain and review patients’ medical and psychosocial history relevant to weight loss and IV infusion therapy.
- Perform physical exams per established clinic guidelines.
- Order and assess laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures, including ECGs.
- Manage IV infusions and monitor patient reactions during and post‑treatment.
- Provide basic medical consultation.
- Prescribe and adjust medications.
- Educate and counsel patients on weight management, lifestyle, nutrition, and medication adherence.

Typical Day:
- Conduct new‑patient intakes: history, vitals, entire health assessment.
- Administer and/or supervise IV infusion sessions.
- Order labs/ECGs and interpret results.
- Adjust treatment plans under physician collaboration.
- Provide patient education and follow‑up guidance.
- Ensure accurate documentation and EMR charting.
